Vacant Pavements - With Open Arms

As a B-side, Vacant Pavements offers their version of the Bauhaus classic “Bela Lugosi’s Dead.”

Ex Monarch - Rotten

Ex Monarch reveals the difficulties of losing a parent to addiction on their song “Rotten.” As they explain, “This piece starts out reflecting on the parent’s addiction and then imagines what it would feel like to use for the first time, as a way to feel close to the parent they no longer know.” The song leans into Ex Monarch’s heavier influences, underscoring the subject matter. "Writing this song was emotionally draining but necessary. It’s an honest expression of grief, loss, and the complicated feelings that come with them,” the band explains. “My hope is that listeners find a sense of catharsis and connection through it.”

Mumrunner - Cat State

Schrödinger’s cat thought experiment relays that the cat is dead and alive. FInland dream pop band Mumrunner examines human feelings in their various states on their new single “Cat State.” The band, who’s opened for acts including The Soft Moon and Slow Crush, has been playing together for a decade. This is their first track since their 2020 album Valeriana.
