Twice Dark - Invisible Man
Bloomington artist Twice Dark, has released the second single off the upcoming album Telekinetic. The song “Invisible Man” is about going unnoticed. It’s facing the fact that whatever difference we make while we’re alive is brief. Weaving goth rock, industrial, italo disco and dark wave, Twice Dark takes inspiration from the tragic splendor of decaying industrial spaces of Indiana. Telekinetic is out in 2025.
In VideColour - Those Tired Legs
UK multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Sam Auckland has unveiled a single from his project, In VideColour. “Those Tired Legs” is the first self-crafted song, on which Auckland examines interpersonal relationships and personal choices using an outsider’s point of view. In VideColour is influenced by psych/indie rock artists including Mac Demarco, Tame Impala and Thundercat.
Ruben Dumars - in my dreams
On “in my dreams,” Cincinnati-based artist/producer Ruben Dumars is afraid of becoming someone else. According to Dumars, the song is “about the fear of changing.” The synth line acts as a temporary sign of hope, slowly descending, climbing back up, before we end up at the same place. The 3 minute song expertly blends lo-fi, psych rock and dream pop.
[SAMPLE_TEXT] - Fear Everyone
“it's right there in the title,” says [SAMPLE_TEXT] explaining the meaning of the title track off their latest EP Fear Everyone. “I fear everyone. I think a lot of people fear everyone.” The EP sees the trio, composed of Reece Caldwell (vocals/guitar), Tyler Farrell (drums) and Jacob Marsh (bass) putting together different recording techniques. As they explain, “I have sort of stopped worrying so much about recording methods. Some things (as art) need to either be hi production, nice crispy sheen, and some need to be trash garbage recording, they say. “This is our new outlook, and the EP has (literally) a mix of both.” Fear Everyone is out now.
Bleached Heat - Cross
Coldwave artist Bleached Heat has dropped the single “Cross.” On the song, the Victoria, BC-based artist offers, "This song was completely written, mixed and mastered on autopilot, ideas seemingly came to me from somewhere else and I was a vessel for them (plus I was listening to a lot of Depeche Mode which explains the metallic clangs).” Bleached Heat has also announced the follow-up single “Flail,” which is out 12/6.
