Equal parts new wave and synthpunk, Public Circuit is in their own lane. Spearheading the project is Ethan Biamont, who is joined by Sean Holloway on drums and Nelson Fisher on synths. Their debut album Lamb, released by the LA/DC indie label à La Carte Records, explores life, death and beyond. Their live performances are distinct and remarkable, with the trio reworking their compositions into dance-punk ceremonies.

Public Circuit gives us a rundown of their live sound, festival highlights and more.

Tell us about a highlight of the event…
Getting to meet a bunch of bands from all around Europe was tight. People were really into what was happening, and the energy felt really exciting.
How would you describe your sound? Electronic Postpunk. Move to it.
Do you have any pre-show rituals? This is a sacred secret...
What’s one thing you won’t leave at home when you head out on tour? Two words: hacky sack.
How do you approach translating your recorded music for your live shows? First, Ethan writes the "bones" of the tracks, brings them to practice, and then we work each song out with the whole band. Fleshing out seperate parts and trying to form a really tight groove to things. Nailing the drum sections is definitely the most important thing that ties our sound together.
