BEST OF 2024 Artist Picks: lucidlüc

To celebrate the end of 2024 and recognize some of the best work of the year, we partnered up with a few of our favorite artists. Next up, we have Atlanta-based artist lucidlüc, who fuses together psych-pop, punk and hip-hop. Check out the selections below.

Tyler Jackson - April Palindrome

In a time where cohesiveness is treated like the garnish instead of the full dish, April Palindrome is served. Tyler’s voice sounds so unique, yet so familiar, that what I thought were samples were actually just his vocals. He does this over many different genres including R&B, Hip-Hop, electronic, jazz, and rock music, to name a few. But with a twist that could only be spun by him.

lucidjason & Joe Kappa - ROMCOMS

A beautiful journey from beginning to end that takes you across the genres, emotions, and time. Every time I listen to “DRESSA,” I can’t help but to move something on my body; same with “AMY ROSE!” Then there are songs like “Arizona Sunshine” that will make you want to cry your eyes out, while screaming into an empty canyon–which is cool.

Alli Cat - Make Some Noise

Alli Cat is one of the least predictable artists coming out of Atlanta right now. One day she’s making you dance, the next day she’s making you cry, the next she’s screaming over a rock song, and then she’s out rapping your favorite rapper. Guess which one this is.

Jelani Imani - DHARMA!!!

I'm upset and you’re upset so how do we fix it? By listening to “dharma” and dancing to it. The guitars sound like they’re dancing with a fun little twist at the end.

BAE & Sterling Cupid - Not My Man

This song makes me feel like I'm the sexiest girl at the club and everybody wants me but nobody knows me, because I'm an enigma. The instrumental is so sexy, yet simple. I just love this song.

Lucidlüc’s album Summer of Love is out now and can be purchased on Bandcamp. Follow lucidlüc on Instagram.
